Nigeria, Korea kickstart $ 13m digital governance initiative
NIGERIA and Korea have flagged off a $ 13 million project aimed at increasing National Identity Number ( NIN) enrolment for ordinary people.
The project, which will be funded by the Korean International Cooperation Agency ( KOICA) is expected to enhance capacity for the further execution of key initiatives of the National Egovernment Master Plan, competencies for e- government service delivery and development of the Government Service Portal.
Speaking at the event, Korean Ambassador to Nigeria, Kim Young- chae, noted that the project signifies the friendly and thriving bilateral relations between the Nigerian and Korean governments, which have existed for over 40 year.
He observed that Korea’s success on e- government development is portrayed as one of the world’s best success stories.
