Book On Leah Sharibu Addresses Insecurity Challenges In Nigeria

- By Nzube Ogoke

AN author, Rafiu Kuteyi, has called on the government to take measures to ensure that the lives and property of Nigerians being lost to insecurity on a daily basis are protected and secured.

In his book, ‘ Leah Sharibu: Heroine of Faith,’ Kuteyi said the issue that took Leah Sharibu into captivity is still alive in the country, urging the government to wake up to its responsibilities in the face of the challenging situation.

According to Kuteyi, who is also a pastor at the Redeemed Christian Church of God ( RCCG), the security of the entire citizenry lies in the hands of God, but the Nigerian Constitution puts the responsibility primarily on the government’s shoulders.

Speaking during the launch, he urged the government to pay more attention to security personnel and their welfare as well as equipping them better than they are currently.
