That Doris Simeon’s Come Back Film...

-

DORIS Simeon is one Yoruba actor T4T has felt her absence for years now on the local film industry. The beautiful lady ruled the small screen in the Yoruba movie genre some couple of years back before she ‘ disappeared’.

So, T4T was so excited to see her appear again in a movie titled Borders, which was aired on DSTV during the week. Directed by Lateef Adedimeji and starring Lanre Olakunle, among others, the only thing worthy of note in that movie shot in 2020 was that it was filmed in the US. That is all!

The plot was so muddled up, confusing and maybe took just two days to shoot. T4T is sure that the entire budget for that film nor go pass $ 3,000, which is big money sha, when converted to Naira! It was not the kind of come back movie one expected a Doris Simeon to feature in, no, not a Doris.

T4T counted only four locations used; Doris’ shop, her home, her friend’s home, Doris husband’s office and the hotel where Doris’s husband went for his retreat. Oh, T4T forgot to add the exterior scenes where Doris’s husband was playing with their son and the inside car scene where Susan made a call from twice. Anyway, dem still try sha. E nor easy to shoot film for America na. One day dem go land for Hollywood IJN!
