Worry… Misuse Of Potential, Creativity

-

EACH day, stress comes from the way you respond to life, not the way life is. By adjusting your response, that extra stress is gone. Truly, inner calmness in the midst of chaos is a superpower that can free you to focus more effectively on things that really matter.

If you worry too much about what might be, you will ignore or overlook what is. Remember this, worrying is the misuse of your present potential and your incredible energy for creativity. So, do your best to focus your mind on what is in front of you today.

You do not need to think outside the box. Think like there is no box. Hold nothing back. Show up as a blessed person, a genius male or female. Talk, walk and work like you are blessed. And you will become enamoured and be blessed. The most practical changes happen when you choose to take control of your work, mastering it, instead of craving control of imaginary things. It is more profitable to let go of products of your imagination. Settle down on your work. Remind yourself that you cannot always calm the storm. You can only calm yourself and the storm will eventually pass.

Forget popularity; focus on sincerity today. Do whatever you are doing, not for applause, but because it is what is right for you. Respect yourself, care for yourself and become a reliable and loving part of your own support system. Of course, all this is easier said than done. You will have to do this in conjunction with a pledge to create an imperishable legacy of what you stand for in life. Which is why the wise ones of old are steadfast at their work instead of talking. The story is told of a wealthy grandfather, who went to his doctor to be fitted with a unique hearing aid. The device not only allowed him to hear perfectly, it was hidden so no one could see it.

When he went back for a follow- up visit, the doctor said: “Your family must be happy to know that now you can hear.”

The grandfather said: “Well, I haven’t told them about my hearing aid. I just sit around and listen to their conversations - and I have already changed my will three times!” The Bible says the prudent hold their tongues. And this isn’t only a law of speech, it’s a law of science. The odds of putting food into your mouth grow exponentially the more times you open it. To put it another way, the potential for saying the wrong thing rises proportionately to the amount of words you say. Ever notice that the person, who habitually adds his two words of wisdom, frequently says something that’s worth two words of wisdom less?

King David of ancient Israel, who wrote the book of Proverbs in the Bible, says, “Do you see someone who speaks in haste? There is more hope for a fool than for them.” ( Proverbs 29: 20.)

A man went to a pet shop one day, where a colourful parrot was sitting on a perch. The man looked at the bird and in a cock y tone asked: “Hey, stupid, can you speak?” To his amazement the parrot replied, “Yes, stupid, can you fly?” Why does God say so much about offences of the tongue? Because when you sin with your tongue, you offend Him,

affect others and hurt yourself.
