Event industry yet to benefit from LSETF programme, says group

THE Managing Director , Busybee Group , Bisi Sotunde, has said the event business industry is yet to benefit from the Lagos State Employment T rust Fund ( LSETF).

She disclosed this in Lagos at a press conference to announce activities at its sixth edition of the yearly Business Event Summit slated for November 15- 16, 2022 in Lagos.

The summit started off in 2017 as a bridge to foster sound entreprene­ur practices among event profession­als. In this edition, 10 outstandin­g heroes will be celebrated at the a ward night, while eight winners will

go home with various branded products.

Sotunde said the summit has brought both Nigerian and Internatio­nal speaker/ panelists, who are industry leaders to discuss various topics on how to grow/ scale and expand horizons.

She stressed that the platform has trained, mentored and helped over 1,300 event profession­als, ranging from event planners, decorators, caterers, DJ, MCS and ever yone, who belong to the event ecosystem.

She noted that one of the benefits of attending this 6th business summit is the one year access to the Thriving Business community called The W ell
