Babalakin family donates Guest House to Fountain varsity

Family, Sultan task varsities on alternative revenue generation

- From Timothy Agbor, Osogbo

THE family of late Justice Bolarinwa Oyegoke Babalakin, a retired judge of the Supreme Court, who died last year at the age of 94, yesterday, donated an ultramodern guest house to Fountain University, Osogbo, with a charge on all tertiary institutions in the country to seek alternative sources of generating revenue.

The assertion was also corroborated by Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, who urged Nigerians to assist tertiary institutions, saying that government alone cannot fund education in the country.

A family member, Dr. B. O. Babalakin, who spoke on behalf of the family, said the commissioning of the project was in fulfilment of the promise made by the deceased justice when he was alive.
