THEFountain of Life Church through its Education Support Project ( ESP) has awarded scholarships to 14 undergraduate students, and rewarded 12 teachers for their outstanding performance.

It also gave special recognition award to seven retired principals from the six state- owned schools in Ilupeju area of Lagos State.

The Head of Department, ESP, Mrs. Elizabeth Ademoye, said the gesture is part of the church’s corporate social responsibility to express and show love to the Ilupeju community.

Ademoye explained that the education support programme is a way of supporting indigents and giving them the opportunity to acquire formal education.

She said the church has been doing this since 2004, even during the COVID- 19 pandemic, in line with the mandate of the Senior pastor, Taiwo Odukoya.

Ademoye added that the scholarship was to encourage students around the community regardless of their religion, while beneficiaries were chosen without bias.

Odukoya, in his address, said: “it is our great joy contributing to the success of Ilupeju community. It it is our desire to assist the government in making sure state- owned schools around the community are part of the best in the state.
