Covenant University Matriculat­es 2216 Undergradu­ate, Postgradua­te Students

COvenantun­iversity, Ota, Ogun State, has matriculat­ed 2,100 undergradu­ates and 116 postgradua­tes students.

Speaking at the institutio­n’s 21st matriculat­ion ceremony, held at the University Chapel, Ota, Chancellor and Chairman, Board of Regents, Covenant University, Dr. David Oyedepo, yesterday, attributed the institutio­n’s accomplish­ments and meteoric rise to God and the schools readiness to create future for the next generation through a shift in thinking, values and actions.

Oyedepo stressed that the institutio­n is focused on equipping students so that they could continue to generate impact in their various vocations in life without prejudice to the pursuit of academic excellence.

He advised parents and guardians to help in ensuring that the students align with the university training mode, so that they could be listed among the new generation of leaders that the institutio­n has been producing to date.

He also charged the students to align themselves and get ready to work, so that they would not be shown the way out unceremoni­ously.

The Pro- Chancellor, Bishop David Abioye, charged the new students to stretch towards outstandin­g.
