- By Gbenga Akinfenwa

THE Alake and Paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, has offered free medical support to over 300 residents and indigenes of Iwokun Nla community in Ewekoro Local Council, Ogun State.

The beneficiaries got the support during a medical outreach, put together by the Alake Adedotun Gbadebo Health Initiative and Well Africa Foundation ( WAF), a non- profit organisation, as part of activities marking Alake’s 17th coronation ceremony.

During the exercise, the monarch emphasised that healthy living is important for the residents to contribute to the growth of the state and the country at large, adding that it is on that premise that the medical outreach was put together.

He said: “My message to the people is that their medical fitness is very important. So, they have to take good care of their health to ensure that they remain healthy all the time.

“Fourteen years ago, I came here to retrace the steps of my grandfather and I felt a village located on the banks of Ogun River has a lot of potential. That is why I decided to support them and would keep on supporting them.”
