OGUN State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has urged Nigerians to rise up and confront the numerous challenges facing the country, saying that no problem is insurmountable.

Abiodun, who gave the charge at the 67th yearly convention of Foursquare Church held at the church camp in Ajebo, Obafemi Owode Local Council of the state, said that as Nigeria is going through security challenges, ranging from terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, cultism and others, it could overcome them if the citizens work together as one.

Development ( CIERED) as a step in the right direction towards addressing the country’s economic challenges.

Obasanjo, who stated this while commissioning the CIERED knowledge economy hub in Abeokuta, said that Centre’s emergence was timely, given the dearth of functional researches that could effectively address Nigeria’s economic needs.

He said: “It is time for Nigerian researchers to translate research outcomes into industry- changing products and services.

“We have had enough of researches on the shelves that are not proffering solutions to our challenges, particularly economic challenges.”

N another development, the governorship candidate of African Democratic Congress ( ADC) in Ogun State, Olubiyi Oladipupo Otegbeye, has canvassed the support of his kinsmen in Diaspora ahead of the polls.

Otegbeye, who spoke at the 10th anniversary gala night of Ilaro Descendants Union in UK & Ireland, held at the weekend, said that divine providence favours a candidate from the Yewa- Awori extraction, hence the need to work for him.
