Police nab man with N316, 000 counterfei­t naira notes, another for sexual assault

KEBBI State Police Command has arrested one Bashiru Sani of Helende village in Argungu Local Council of the state, for being in possession of N316, 000 counterfei­t naira notes.

Addressing journalist­s yesterday at the Police Command, the state’s Commission­er of Police ( CP), Ahmed Magaji- Kontagora, said the money was in N 1,000 denominati­on.

He said: “In the course of investigat­ion, the principal suspect, one Samaila Umar ( 25) of Argungu Local Council, who printed the counterfei­t currency via computer desktop was also arrested. The duo would be prosecuted after the completion of the investigat­ion.

“The police also arrested one Ahmed Ibrahim of Kasuwar Gari area of Sakaba Local Council, for being in possession of charm and rape.”
