Don’t hand over Nigeria to sick leaders, says LP

- From Ayoyinka Jegede, Uyo

LABOUR Party has called on voters to vote for tested and trusted candidates. It also urged Nigerians not to hand over the ‘ sick’ country to sick leaders, but vote for leaders that will take the country from a consumption nation to a producing nation.

Mrs. Oluchi Oparah, National Treasurer of Labour Party made the calls in Uyo while speaking with The Guardian at a sensitisation workshop for political party leaders, organised by

European Union in conjunction with the Kukah Centre and DAI.

She said LP would ensure security of life and property, provide employment for youths and ensure the country is freed from loans if voted into power.

She added that LP presidential candidate brought peace and stability to Anambra State when he was in power and said such would be replicated in the country if voted into power.

She expressed dissatisfaction with some state governors, who prevent other political parties from using government facilities for their campaigns, describing it a alien to democracy.

“Let us all vote for personality with antecedents and interest of Nigerians at heart. Good people that will make us giant of Africa once again, people who can stand out with clean records anywhere in the world. Let us vote for people who can take Nigeria from failing nation. Let us consider antecedents of each candidate before voting for them,” she added.
