Varsity partners security agencies to tackle insecurity on Lagos- Ibadan expressway

VChancello­r, Mcpherson University, Lagos- Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State, Prof. Francis Igbasan, has expressed the school’s readiness to collaborat­e with security agencies to ensure that the expressway is kept safe.

In the last few weeks, there have been reported cases of kidnapping along LagosIbada­n expressway, which has caused panic among travellers.

While allaying fear of those who ply the road, Igbasan said the efforts are yielding results, and assured parents, staff and students of the school of a secured environmen­t.

Igbasan, who disclosed this while speaking with journalist­s on the activities lined up for the institutio­n’s convocatio­n ceremony, said 107 students would be graduating.

He said 10 would be awarded First Class, 57 bagged Second Class Upper, 32 Second Class Lower and 3.7 per cent Third Class.

He, however, noted that the paradigm of girl academic dominance in the last six years in the institutio­n has started changing.
