Lagos probes alleged corrupt practices by building control officials

LAGOSState government has said that it is investigating alleged corrupt practices by some officials of the Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority ( LASPPPA) and Lagos State Building Control Agency ( LASBCA).

The state’s Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Tayo Bamgbose- Martins, who disclosed this during a media briefing, at the weekend, said the move became imperative sequel to allegation of malfeasance against LASPPPA and LASBCA officials. He said the government was not oblivious of the fact that while some officials act to uphold professionalism and good ethics, there might be few others who compromise their positions and collude with others to denigrate the system.
