One million G- 5 can’t stop Atiku’s victory, Oyo ex- dep gov reiterates

• Says group only after selfish interest, Obi goes nowhere • Aggrieved Accord, NNPP, PDP members defect to SDP in Oyo

T HECoordina­tor of AtikuOkowa Presidenti­al Campaign in Oyo State and former Deputy Governor of the state, Hazeem Gbolarumi, yesterday, said that the G- 5 and Integrity Group in one million places could not stop the victory of the presidenti­al candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. Gbolarumi, who spoke with The Guardian in Ibadan, the state capital, said members of the G- 5 and Integrity Group were fighting for a selfish agenda.

The former deputy governor, who also spoke on the chance of the presidenti­al candidate of the Labour Party ( LP), Peter Obi, said: ‘’ Obi goes nowhere. He has no structure. The youths following him ha ve no Permanent V oter Cards ( PVCS). You will see that at the end of the day, Obi is going nowhere.’’

N another developmen­t, scores of Accord Party ( AP), New Nigeria Peoples Party ( NNPP) and Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) members in Oluyole area of Oyo State, at the weekend, defected to the Social Democratic Party ( SDP) ahead of the 2023 general elections.

The defectors were received by the state chairman of the SDP, Michael Ogunlade, at the meeting of the party held at Moslem High School, Odinjo, in Oluyole area of the state.
