CONFLICT Management Mitigation Regional Council ( CMMRC) has condemned the gruesome attacks and killing of over 30 persons, especially women and children, in Bokkos Local Council of Plateau State.

In a chat with The Guardian, at the weekend, the NonGovernmental Organisation ( NGO) also condemned the destruction of farm produce and animals.

Secretary of CMMRC, Sadeeq Hongs, called on the state government to investigate the killing of innocent citizens with a view to bringing the culprits to justice.

The NGO, according to him, urges the citizens to keep calm, maintain law and order, while conducting themselves peacefully as they ventilate their grievances on the current state of affairs in their domains.

“We share in the grief of those who lost their loved ones. We commiserate with them and pray God to comfort and strengthen them. “In line with the Plateau slogan, which is ‘ Home of Peace and Tourism’, we demand that all security personnel, person and authorities of the government in Plateau should promote and preserve peace, while we pray God for wisdom, courage and willingness to do what is right to achieve peace and tranquility throughout the state,” Hongs stressed.
