Rotaract Club holds medical outreach in Lagos communitie­s

THE Rotaract Club of Lagos Metropolit­an has held a free medical outreach in four different locations – Mushin, Somolu/ Bariga, Obalende and Lagos Mainland.

The outreach saw over 1,000 residents benefittin­g from health checks, testing, awareness, counsellin­g and free drugs distributi­on.

The health checks include, weight and blood pressure, tests like HIV, Syphilis, Malaria, and Cervical Cancer, and lastly, distributi­on of preventive and treatment drugs.

President of the club, Ademola Ojomoyela, said as a humanitari­an and service organisati­on affiliated with Rotary Internatio­nal, the medical outreach was in fulfillmen­t of the club’s big dreams.

“We believe a healthy family is a healthy community and a health community is a healthy nation, which is why we are making a positive impact by taking the outreach to the communitie­s and engaging with community and market leaders in the locations,” he said.
