Nsukka West, Ozalla, Edem Ani communities pledge support for Ugwuanyi, PDP candidates
THEpeople of Nsukka West Constituency, in Nsukka Council of Enugu State, yesterday, gathered in their numbers in Nsukka town to celebrate Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, who is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) for Enugu North Senatorial District.
Nsukka West people assured Ugwuanyi of their 100 per cent votes for him to represent Enugu North in the National Assembly in 2023.
They also pledged to vote massively for the PDP governorship candidate in Enugu
State, Dr. Peter Mbah, his running mate, Ifeanyi Ossai, the party’s candidate for Nsukka/ Igbo- Eze South Constituency, Vita Abba, the candidate for Nsukka West Constituency, Amos Agbo, as well as other candidates of the PDP in the state.
The people of Nsukka West Constituency, comprising political leaders, stakeholders, traditional rulers, women and youths, among others, endorsed Ugwuanyi and other PDP candidates in the state at a well- attended rally organised by Amadi, in support of the governor’s senatorial bid.
This came as the people of Ozalla, the third largest community in Igbo- Etiti Council of the state, unanimously declared support for Ugwuanyi, and pledged to vote massively for him and other PDP candidates in the state, disclosing that the governor has liberated them from political bondage.
The Ozalla people, who conferred a chieftaincy tittle of ‘ Oguguma I of Ozalla’ on Ugwuanyi, in recognition of his administration’s interventions in their community, and recent appointment of their sons and daughters into sensitive government positions for the first in the history of the state, told the governor that they are going to surprise him by making sure that none of the PDP candidates in Enugu will lose in any of the polling units in Ozalla community in 2023 general elections. Similarly, the people of Edem Ani in Nsukka Council gave the governor a pat on the back for his works in the state, particularly, in Nsukka zone. They assured him that they would deliver 100 per cent votes for him and other PDP candidates.
