OPERATIVES of Ondo State Police Command have arrested three students of Akure High School, Ondo State, for allegedly gang- raping a 14- year- old Secondary Senior School 1 female student.

The Guardian gathered that the trio, Matthew, 17, Olawale Tobi, 18, and Ajayi Michael 17, committed the crime during school hours.

The victim was said to have gone into a nearby bush within the school to defecate when the boys waylaid and sexually assaulted her while she was on her way back. According to sources within the school, the girl who was in pain walked into the classroom with bloodstain on her uniform.

The situation raised curiosity among students and teachers after which the girl explained what happened.

A source said the three friends had before the incident been trailing and disturbing the girl in school. “The girl had complained to her friends that one of the boys was pestering her and demanded for sex. But she turned him down.

“To make true his threat of getting the girl at all cost, the boy called his two friends to join in sexually assaulting her in an isolated place,” the source said.
