Edo trains senior civil, public servants on innovation, productivity
EState Government has completed a twoday capacity building workshop for senior civil and public servants in the state, in line with ongoing reforms by the Governor Godwin Obaseki administration to up skill the workforce for increased efficiency and productivity.
Edo State Head of Service, Anthony Okungbowa, who declared the training open at John Odigie- Oyegun Public Service Academy in Benin City, said: “This particular course is to address the deficiencies and lapses in the critical thinking ability of civil and public servants in the state.” A statement by the Senior Adviser to the Governor on Media Project, Crusoe Osagie, also quoted Okungbowa as saying: “We are building a new service that is moving away from the transactional way it has always operated to a strategic service and so there are a lot of things we are going to do. The first is that we have to build the intellectual capacity of our civil and public servants.”
