Reporter, Musa, receives CAMA award

TGuardian reporter, Waliat Musa, has received the Cleft Awareness Media Award ( CAMA) Nigeria, 2022, as the second runnerup among a pool of journalists across the 36 states of the country.

The award is in recognition of her passion and commitment in advocating the cause of persons with disabilities, especially, people living with cleft lip and palate in Nigeria.

The ceremony was held during the National Surgical, Obstetric, Anaesthesia and Nursing Plan for Nigeria ( NSOANP) summit with cleft care stakeholders in Apo, Abuja, yesterday.

Other recipients of the award are Gyang Musa of Daily Sun Newspaper ( winner) and Adenike Adebowale of Premium Times ( first runner- up).

The awardees were selected from 32 entries across the six geopolitical zones with a panel of judges from notable media houses in Nigeria and an observer from Mozambique using the Media Content Analysis tool.
