THE date for the International Handball Federation ( IHF) Trophy Continental Phase championship slated for Brazzaville, Congo between December 12 and 18 has now been shifted.
In a letter sent to presidents of the participating countries and signed by the Secretary General of the Confederation of Africa Handball ( CAHB), Charles Omboumahou, the new date is now from January 16 to 20.
Meanwhile, the Handball Federation of Nigeria President, Sam Ocheho, has congratulated the National Under 18 and 20 handball male teams for their good outing at the just- ended IHF
Trophy Tournament for Africa Zone 3 in Cote d’ivoire.
The countries’ representatives emerged victorious in the finals of the championship against hosts, Cote d’ivoire and consequently booked spots in the continental championship scheduled for Congo.
Ocheho has charged the teams and their officials not to relent in their effort to win the IHF Trophy Continental Phase championship in Congo, adding that the board of the federation would continue to support the teams, as they intensify training for the continental championship.
