Having been a guest judge in season 7 of the show, Omawumi brings the value of her illustrious career; spanning over a decade, to bear in navigating the complexities of the music industry with grace and excellence.
As a thorough bred musician, she is not only going to be strict, she will also bring honest criticism that she's known for, pulling no punches as she says, "there can only be one winner."
Recall that she gained attention as the 2007 runnerup on West African Idols, a reality TV show that is part of the Idols franchise. Her second album, The Lasso of Truth, was reported to be a commercial success. Her message to the contestants ( dreamers) is clear - true success requires relentless hard work.
Joining Omawumi is Ric Hassani, whose velvety voice and heartfelt lyrics have garnered him widespread acclaim both locally and internationally. As the technical judge this season, Ric Hassani brings vigour, tenacity, and a fiery passion for good singing.

Completing the esteemed panel of judges is none other than Abolore Akande better known by the stage name 9ice, a trailblazing artiste renowned for his masterful storytelling and timeless hits in Yoruba language.
With a career spanning over two decades, 9ice has established himself as one of Nigeria's most influential musicians, earning accolades for his innovation and creativity. As he takes on the role of a Nigerian Idol judge, he brings a wealth of knowledge and perspective to the table, offering contestants a glimpse into the intricacies of the music industry.
