Chuks Uche Releases New Single, Na You

- By Sunday Aikulola

ATALENTED gospel artiste, Chuks Uche, has released his new single “Na You.” It is a worship medley, comprising three powerful worship songs infused with pidgin English and Igbo dialect.

The upcoming artiste, who hails from Agbor, Delta State, is renowned for his anointed musical ministry that “ushers in the presence of God whenever he takes the stage.”

Notably, he has graced platforms alongside esteemed gospel artistes such as Mercy Chinwo, Chioma Jesus, Bidemi

Olaoba, Peterson Okopi, and many others. He specialises in several genres, including highlife praise, Afrobeat praise, as well as worship and worshipinfused praise.

Uche’s musical journey began at a young age, singing in his local church choir since the age of 10. His passion for music grew as he witnessed the joy and connection it brought to congregants during worship sessions. Upon moving to Lagos from Benin City in 2010, he was inspired by seeing artistes his age succeeding on television, which motivated him to start writing his own songs and pursuing music wholeheartedly.

Looking ahead, Uche said he would soon release another medley of lively praise and worship songs, designed to captivate audiences and resonate across the Internet.

He also expressed his desire to collaborate with esteemed colleagues in the industry, while remaining steadfast in his faith for continued health and inspiration from above.

Uche said the new generation of Gospel artistes were embracing the digital age to offer a modern take on music in a bid to inspire its mainstream resurgence.

He added that some streaming platforms were dedicated to spotlighting gospel music, thereby helping upcoming artistes to break geographical and commercial barriers.

His unique blend of indigenous music in pigin English and contemporary gospel elements has created a brand of gospel music that continues to captivate listeners and worshippers in the country and beyond.
