Tinubu Hails Ezeife As A Bridge- builder Amid Soludo, Obi's Eulogies

PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu has described the late former Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Chukwuemekaezeife, as a bridge builder , patriotic leader and true Nigerian that believed in the indivisibility of the country. He spoke shortly after the remains of Ezeife was laid to rest at his countr yhome, Igboukwu in Aguata Council of Anambra Sta after church service conducted by the Salvation Army Church, yesterday.
Tinubu, represented by Imo State Governor , Hope Uzodinma, observed that the deceased was an outstanding academic who put justice, equity and integrity above any personal interest or desire.
“He was a pan- Nigerian who had the penchant for excellence in whatever he did, believing in the unity and diversity of Nigeria puting into consideration its position as a supper power.
"He took everybody as his own not minding your regional or religious origin.”
In his tribute, Anambra State Governor,
Prof. Chukwumasoludo, described the former governor as a true son of Anambra State who contributed immensely to the development of the state. He appreciated Tinubu for his continued support and encouragement to the state government and Ezeife’s family since the demise of the former governor.
In his vote of thanks, the first son of the late elder statesman, Agbachukwuezeife, noted that the family would greatly miss the former governor, especially his fatherly piece of advise.
He added: "It's our promise that we keep the light shining and go beyond what our father achieved.” The Presidential Candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi and deputy governors of Anambra and Ebonyistates, Dr. Onyekachiibezim and Mrs. Patricia Obila, were also in attendance.
Others were former governor of the state, Senator Chris Ngige and the Director General of South East Governors’ Forum, Senator Ucheekwunife, among others.
MEANWHILE, the final interment of former governor of Anambra State, Ezeife at his Igboukwu home was preceded by out- pouring of emotions at the commendation service at International Conference Centre ( ICCC) Awka.
