THE General Overseer, Foursquare Gospel Church, Nigeria, Rev. Sam Aboyeji, has vowed to take the church to the next level by focusing on evangelism and other Pentecostal activities in the country at this his second tenure.

He added that reaching out to the youths and the unreached will further help to guide and shape the Church's policies and procedures in meeting the demands of the ministry, which also includesminister’s welfare. Delegates at the affirmation election that took place at the church’s camp in Ajebo, Ogun State, Nigeria, overwhelmingly supported Aboyeji, in line with the constitution of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria, to go for a second tenure of five years. He had 1,931 votes ( 97.6%) as against 39 ( less than 3%).

Aboyeji who hinged the peaceful election on prayers, commended the affirmation committee led by the Regional Overseer, Northern Region and the District Overseer, Kubwa District, Prof. James Nda Jacobs, the Board of Trustees, the Board of Directors and other delegates for their contributions. He also appreciated the International Church of Foursquare Gospel and its President, Rev. Randy Remington and the Vice President, Global Operations, Rev. Red Veil for their cordial disposition towards him and the Church.

“I, therefore, accept the affirmation conferred on my leadership by this great organisation as the will of God for this dispensation," he said in his acceptance speech.

The National Secretary of the Church, Rev. Samson Alawode, expressed satisfaction at the affirmation election that reinstated Aboyeji to run for the second term, saying the affirmation is in line with the constitution of the church.
