Emerging Africa set for new frontiers of business opportunit­ies in S’south

AFINANCIAL and investment company, Emerging Africa Group, has said that it is poised to leverage the viable business nature of Rivers State to bring investment opportunit­ies to the South South region of Nigeria.

The financial company disclosed this at the launch of its Port Harcourt office recently, noting that it aimed to deepen access to finance for businesses of all sizes, communitie­s, government­s and all kinds of institutio­ns.

Executive Vice Chair of Emerging Africa Board, Dr. Tonyin Sanni, in an interview with newsmen, harped on the importance of local content. She said that the expansion underlines the company’s unwavering commitment to extending its impact and fostering growth across diverse communitie­s throughout Africa.

While saying that the company aims at employing youths and members of host communitie­s, Sanni said the company has been steadfast in its mission to catalyse Africa’s emergence as a global hub for environmen­tal, social and governance investment­s, as well as finance.

She said: “As a business, we are employing the youth and members of this community. We will continue to provide and create jobs for the people of Rivers State. The businesses we will support to deepen financial access to them will also help to employ more citizens and residents of this state.

“We are driven by a desire to make an impact, and we think that the people of South South, Nigeria, deserve an opportunit­y to grow and scale up the same way that has been given to those other communitie­s where we serve.”

She added that the company facilitate­s a wide range of investment and financing transactio­ns, while leveraging strong and stable partnershi­ps with domestic and internatio­nal partners, such as local and regional public and private sector issuers, sover - eign and sub- national government­s.
