You Need Courage To Impact The World, Graduands Of BYU- Pathway Worldwide Told

SPEAKERS at the graduation ceremony of Brigham Young University ( BYU) Pathway Worldwide have urged graduands to be courageous and impact their world.

In his keynote address at the sixth graduation ceremony held on April 20, at the Church of Jesus Christ Latterday Saints, Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos, titled: “L. E. A. R. N,” the Internatio­nal Area Manager of the school, Dr. Victor Ukorebi, admonished the students to always learn, adding that there is no end to learning in life.

Stressing on success in life, imbibing right attitude and repent, Ukorebi, said the abbreviati­on L. E. A. R. N stands for ‘ Learn, Education; Attitude, Repentance and Nice,' adding that these are the essential tools to success.

The Assistant Area Coordinato­r, Dr. Larry Hall from the

United States of America disclosed that the school's programmes majorly run virtually were designed to give quality education to people at a highly subsidised rate.

The leader of Area Seventy of the Church, Elder Christian Chibundu, encouraged the outgoing students to be mentally tough and courageous in whatever they do in life.

He said: “Be courageous, be mentally tough, be discipline­d, be passionate, be patient, develop yourself, work to live and live to work and balance your time. A brave man is not a man that does not have fear, but a man that puts fears aside and proceeds with faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ.”

The Board and Partners Relations Manager from Venture Garden Group, Mrs. Moyosore Asubiojo, urged the graduands to always look for opportunit­ies to develop themselves.

“In every challenge, there are opportunit­ies to learn, to develop yourself and to make best out of the situation,” she said.

Congratula­ting the students for their resilience, the Area Coordinati­on Coordinato­r Missionary for Nigeria, Sister Susan Sorenson, enjoyed the outgoing students to impact people around them with the knowledge
