“DO not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom,” ( Lk 12: 32).

“As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear Him. 14: For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust,” ( Ps 103: 13, 14).

“He who did not spare His own Son… how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?” ( Rom 8: 32).

“Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you. 16: See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; your walls are continually before Me,” ( Isaiah 49: 15, 16).

GOD can never forget us — His children — as a loving mother would not forget her little child. When we feel that God has forsaken us, we must ask if we have forsaken and forgotten God.

God Is Our Concerned Friend

“The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend,” ( Ex 33: 11).

“His friend.” God considered Moses to be a close friend with whom He could talk face to face.

This special relationship was partly due to the fact that Moses was sincerely devoted to God and to His cause, desires and purposes. Moses was one with the Spirit of God to such an extent that he shared the very feelings of God, suffering when He suffered and grieving when He grieved at sin ( cf. 32: 19). Every believer should, through prayer, seek to know the ways of God and to grow into such a profound union with Him and His purposes that he or she is, indeed, God's friend. Prayer, first and foremost, is conversation with God — a dialogue with God in which we talk with God as with a friend. Once a conversation involves both talking and listening, we may mark our progress by our increasing desire to hear God speak rather than to speak ourselves. God, like all good fathers, delights in the natural and uninhibited approach of His children.

While we must never forget that we are talking to our Creator and the Creator of the universe, we must not forget that He is also our Father and a Friend. Read Gen 18: 16- 33, see how respectful Abraham is in his approach to God, yet consider how he uses down- to- earth language – the type of language used by a person who is speaking to someone with whom he or she has a close relationship. Be natural in your conversation with God, but be respectful. Maintain a balance between awe for God and friendliness. Although God is your Creator, He is also your Father ( Mat 6: 9; Ps 103: 13; Lk 11: 13) and Friend ( John 15: 13, 14, 15).

“Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you. 16: See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; your walls are continually before Me
