- Ayodele Afolabi, Ado- Ekiti

AFrom CHAIRMANSHIP aspirant, Segun Akinwumi, yesterday, said that his political associate and former Governor of Ekiti State, Segun Oni, would soon return to the People’s Democratic Party ( PDP).

Akinwumi, who spoke during a media briefing, yesterday, in Ado- Ekiti, said that Oni is merely waiting for an appropriate time after the PDP might have resolved the lingering crisis bedeviling the party before returning, saying that the former governor does not want to get entangled in the crisis.

He also said that several aggrieved members of the ruling APC in the state were already reaching out to him and expressing their desire to decamp to the PDP.

Akinwumi has pledged to hand over the PDP to original owners who have remained in the trenches due to the intractable crisis rocking the party, saying that he is the only aspirant who could do it.

He, therefore, urged members of the National Working

Committee ( NWC) of the party to ensure a level playing field for all aspirants to reposition the PDP.
