The United States rejected plans to relocate its Africa Command from its current base in Germany to Nigeria or any other part of Africa. U. S. was responding to a request from Pres. Muhammadu Buhari to Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, to consider relocating AFRICOM to Africa to assist Nigeria and adjoining countries to combat worsening insecurity.

Amendment of the local council and chieftaincy affairs law, paving way for decentralisation of Kano emirate council was approved by the Kano State House of Assembly.
