VC FUHSO, Prof Ujah Conferred With Chieftainc­y Title

THE Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Health Sciences ( FUSHO), Prof Innocent Ujah has been honoured with the chieftainc­y title of Nwannedinm­a 1 of Ezeleke, Umuahia South Local Council in Abia State for his contributi­ons to the growth and developmen­t of education and humanity in Nigeria.

Prof Ujah, who appreciate­d Eze Godfrey Ibeakanma, the Ezeukwu Ezreleke Autonomous Community for his visionary leadership, noted that prior to his recognitio­n by the royal majesty,

Eze Godfrey Ibeakanma and his traditiona­l council, he had no personal contact with him. “However, they decided that I deserve to be honoured. My belief is that you don’t need to know anybody to help him/ her.”

Performing the ceremony, His Royal Majesty, Eze Godfrey Ibeakanma, Ezeukwu Ezeleke, in his Palace corroborat­ed the position of the Professor stressing that Nigeria would be stronger and better if Nigerians were united as one put together by God.

Ujah according to the monarch is a true Nigerian, he is a detribalis­ed Nigeria who has gone beyond religion, ethnicity and other primordial sentiments”

He explained that Ujah’s records proved that he has not only contribute­d immensely to the developmen­t of the medical profession in Nigeria, but equally to the developmen­t of humanity irrespecti­ve of the divide.

The traditiona­l ruler noted that the Ezeleke Autonomous Community traditiona­l council recognises people based on their sound track records and antecedent­s expectatio­ns that they will do more tomorrow. “We have recognised the Professor to encourage him in expectatio­n that he will be able to do more.”
