Foundation inaugurates borehole
THE Real Acts of Kindness (RAK) Foundation has inaugurated a borehole built for residents of Ijanikin in Oto-awori Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Lagos State.
Founder of the foundation Mr Mobolaji Ogunlende, said the borehole was built to ensure that residents had access to potable water.
Said he: “I don't know anyone here; I don’t have friends or relatives in this community, but I received a call on July 1 about this community that it lacked water and I decided to come and help.
“Hearing that people paid for clean water for bathing and to prepare food, motivated me to embark on the project."
Ogunlende urged the residents to take a cue from the project by contributing to the development of the community
and the world at large.
Speaking on behalf of the community, Mr Jide Thompson hailed RAK Foundation for its action.
An elderly man in the area, Mr Sunday Samuel, praised Ogunlende for giving residents potable water.
Mrs Funmilayo Adedayo, on behalf of female residents, thanked the RAK Foundation proprietor for solving water scarcity in the community.
