- From Osagie Otabor, Akure

THE Ondo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has urged the state government and security agencies to arrest killers of a journalist in the state, Bunmi Afuye. Bunmi, who worked as a broadcaster before getting a job at Elizade University, Ilara Mokin, was shot dead by robbers, who attacked a bank at Ilara Mokin in Ifedore Local Government.

The Chairman of Ondo NUJ, Aderoboye Tona, said at the funeral service of Bunmi that the killers should not go unpunished.

Venerable Sunday Sanni, the Arch Deacon of Itaogbolu Archdeaconry, Ondo State, described Bunmi as a loving, humble, Godfearing and easy-going man.

Sola Afuye, the deceased’s elder brother, said unwarranted attacks and daylight robbery had claimed lives.
