My regime’ ll make ed­u­ca­tion Nige­ria’s new gold – Ezek­we­sili

The pres­i­den­tial can­di­date of the Al­lied Congress Party of Nige­ria, Mrs Obi­ageli ezek­we­sili, has promised to make ed­u­ca­tion Nige­ria’s “new oil well and gold mine” if elected in the forth­com­ing elec­tions.

She said her ed­u­ca­tion pro­gramme would fast-track the quest for an all-round de­vel­op­ment of the coun­try and open doors for var­i­ous seg­ments of the na­tion to de­velop.

A state­ment by her cam­paign or­gan­i­sa­tion on Sun­day said ezek­we­sili made the pledge on Fri­day dur­ing her visit to the hakimi of Ushafa, in the Bwari Area Coun­cil of the FCT, Mo­ham­mad Baba

She said the govern­ment of ACPN un­der her would equally give pri­or­ity to agri­cul­ture, se­cu­rity, youths and women em­pow­er­ment to al­le­vi­ate poverty in the coun­try.

ezek­we­sili said, “I am run­ning so that women, chil­dren and young peo­ple will pros­per and achieve their goals. We will lib­er­ate Nige­ria, res­cue the youths and the less priv­i­leged from suf­fer­ing and set the coun­try on the path of pros­per­ity.

“ed­u­ca­tion will be­come our new oil wells and gold mines through ad­e­quate poli­cies.”

She ad­vised sup­port­ers of the party to form a united front to enable the party at­tain vic­tory dur­ing the elec­tions.

In his re­sponse, Baba said Nige­ria needed some­body like ezek­we­sili to res­cue the coun­try from its nu­mer­ous chal­lenges.

he noted that women were good man­agers and had so­lu­tions to the prob­lems con­fronting the coun­try.
