Makinde, Ladoja to at­tend Oyedi­ran’s 20th coro­na­tion

Gov­er­nor seyi Makinde of Oyo state, and two for­mer gov­er­nors of the state, sen Abi­ola Aji­mobi and Chief Ade­bayo Alao-akala, as well as the Olubadan of ibadan, Oba saliu Ade­tunji, are among the dig­ni­taries ex­pected to join in the 20thyear coro­na­tion cel­e­bra­tion of Oba sun­day Oladapo Oyedi­ran, the Onipetu of Ijeru, Og­bo­moso, fixed for De­cem­ber.

A state­ment by the monarch said the one week cel­e­bra­tion sched­uled to be­gin on De­cem­ber 13 would fea­ture var­i­ous cul­tural dis­plays, in­ter­de­nom­i­na­tional prayers for the town while the oc­ca­sion would also be used to rally sup­port for fur­ther de­vel­op­ment of the com­mu­nity.

While ask­ing the sons and daugh­ters of ijeru, Og­bo­moso, in Og­bo­moso south Lo­cal Gov­ern­ment Area of the state as well as their friends to turn out in their large num­ber for the joy­ous oc­ca­sion, Oba Oyedi­ran said he was specif­i­cally or­gan­is­ing the an­niver­sary to ap­pre­ci­ate the grace and mercy of God who had made his 20 years reign to be peace­ful and event­ful.
