Abio­dun ap­points Chokor new HOS

The Ogun State Gov­er­nor, dapo Abio­dun, has ap­pointed for­mer Per­ma­nent Sec­re­tary in the state civil Ser­vice com­mis­sion, Amope chokor, as the new Head of Ser­vice.

chokor’s ap­point­ment came fol­low­ing the re­tire­ment of the for­mer HOS, Lanre Bisiriyu, af­ter 35 years ser­vice.

A state­ment is­sued by the Sec­re­tary to the State Gov­ern­ment, Tokunbo Tal­abi, stated that Bisiriyu, along­side 11 Per­ma­nent Sec­re­taries, has bowed out of the pub­lic ser­vice of the state.

The state­ment read, “Amope Aji­bola chokor comes into her new po­si­tion with im­pec­ca­ble pedi­gree and ser­vice record.

“An ac­com­plished town plan­ner and ad­min­is­tra­tor, chokor hails from Imapa Quar­ters at Ota, in Ado-odo/ Ota Lo­cal Gov­ern­ment Area of the state.

“Un­til her ap­point­ment, Mrs chokor (nee Bankole) was Per­ma­nent Sec­re­tary in the State civil Ser­vice com­mis­sion.

“The Ogun State Gov­ern­ment, un­der Gov­er­nor Abio­dun, knows that TPL chokor, who has proved over the years to un­der­stand the sys­tem, would put to use her vast knowl­edge in the man­age­ment of the state civil ser­vice and also main­tain the high stan­dard that the ser­vice is known for.

“The ap­point­ment takes im­me­di­ate ef­fect.”
