Con­fed Cup: Eny­imba, Rangers tar­get first wins

Nige­ria rep­re­sen­ta­tives on the con­ti­nent, Enugu rangers and Eny­imba will be aim­ing to get their first wins in the 2019/20 CAF Con­fed­er­a­tion Cup group stage match-day two fix­tures on Sun­day (to­day).

Eny­imba wel­come Ivo­rian side, San Petro in a Group D match at the Eny­imba In­ter­na­tional Sta­dium hav­ing started the cam­paign with a dis­ap­point­ing 2-0 away de­feat to moroccan side Has­sa­nia Agadir last week­end.

Speak­ing ahead of the game,

The Ele­phants coach Usman Abd’al­lah says his play­ers have put the loss to the moroccan side be­hind them and are now in a pos­i­tive mood ahead to record their first win.

“The main goal for Sun­day (to­day)is to get the three points first. If it comes with some bonus of goals it will go a long way, but I think the three points is very im­por­tant to get it so that we can set our­selves in the race.”

Also, Enugu rangers will be look­ing to se­cure their first win in Group A when they take on Egyp­tian side Al masry at the Alexan­dria Sta­dium.
