Infinity breaks into lubricant market, launches Motul
INFINITY Group has announced its plans to play a major role in the lubricant business with the launch of Motul lubricant brand in Lagos as a way to consolidate its foothold on the Nigeria’s automobile aftermarket industry.
Before now, the firm had restricted its operation to the tyre, battery and renewable energy solutions.
Managing Director of Infinity Group, Mr Arshi Chadha, said at the launch of Motul lubricant on Saturday that the company’s strategy of constant expansion had propelled it into breaking into new and exciting strategies “steadily growing to become a major business entity across multiple industries.”
He said the introduction of the Motul brand was in line with group’s commitment to bring world-class products to its valued customers.
“Infinity Group is launching Motul range of products in Nigeria after extensive testing the market for over one year. Infinity Group is now the exclusive distribution partner for Motul range of products for Nigeria,” he said.
According to the company, Motul is a 165 years old French company, founded in 1853 and has since grown to become one of the leading lubricant manufacturers of the world.
A director at Infinity, Vineet Mathur, said Motul could be found in more than 160 countries including over 20 African countries.
Infinity also said, “As a pioneer in many synthetic and semi-synthetic products, Motul has always favoured innovation, research and development. The company is also a leader in the motorcycle lubricants market in the world.
“In the motorsports field, many manufacturers trust Motul for its technological developments in car/bike racing. Motul has thus developed close a relationship with manufacturers such as
Nissan, yamaha, Subaru, Toyota, Honda and Suzuki.”
It stated that Motul was the first lubricant manufacturer to use the ester technology for the formulation of its 100 per cent synthetic car oils, adding that the vegetable-based esters benefited from lubricating properties, anti-shear quality and exceptional resistance to high temperatures.
The event was witnessed by the Motul international team leaders.
