In­fin­ity breaks into lu­bri­cant mar­ket, launches Mo­tul

IN­FIN­ITY Group has an­nounced its plans to play a ma­jor role in the lu­bri­cant busi­ness with the launch of Mo­tul lu­bri­cant brand in La­gos as a way to con­sol­i­date its foothold on the Nige­ria’s au­to­mo­bile af­ter­mar­ket in­dus­try.

Be­fore now, the firm had re­stricted its op­er­a­tion to the tyre, bat­tery and re­new­able en­ergy so­lu­tions.

Manag­ing Direc­tor of In­fin­ity Group, Mr Ar­shi Chadha, said at the launch of Mo­tul lu­bri­cant on Satur­day that the com­pany’s strat­egy of con­stant ex­pan­sion had pro­pelled it into break­ing into new and ex­cit­ing strategies “steadily grow­ing to be­come a ma­jor busi­ness en­tity across mul­ti­ple in­dus­tries.”

He said the in­tro­duc­tion of the Mo­tul brand was in line with group’s com­mit­ment to bring world-class prod­ucts to its val­ued cus­tomers.

“In­fin­ity Group is launch­ing Mo­tul range of prod­ucts in Nige­ria af­ter ex­ten­sive test­ing the mar­ket for over one year. In­fin­ity Group is now the ex­clu­sive dis­tri­bu­tion part­ner for Mo­tul range of prod­ucts for Nige­ria,” he said.

Ac­cord­ing to the com­pany, Mo­tul is a 165 years old French com­pany, founded in 1853 and has since grown to be­come one of the lead­ing lu­bri­cant man­u­fac­tur­ers of the world.

A direc­tor at In­fin­ity, Vi­neet Mathur, said Mo­tul could be found in more than 160 coun­tries in­clud­ing over 20 African coun­tries.

In­fin­ity also said, “As a pi­o­neer in many syn­thetic and semi-syn­thetic prod­ucts, Mo­tul has al­ways favoured in­no­va­tion, re­search and de­vel­op­ment. The com­pany is also a leader in the mo­tor­cy­cle lu­bri­cants mar­ket in the world.

“In the motorsport­s field, many man­u­fac­tur­ers trust Mo­tul for its tech­no­log­i­cal de­vel­op­ments in car/bike rac­ing. Mo­tul has thus de­vel­oped close a re­la­tion­ship with man­u­fac­tur­ers such as

Nis­san, yamaha, Subaru, Toy­ota, Honda and Suzuki.”

It stated that Mo­tul was the first lu­bri­cant man­u­fac­turer to use the es­ter tech­nol­ogy for the for­mu­la­tion of its 100 per cent syn­thetic car oils, adding that the veg­etable-based es­ters ben­e­fited from lubricatin­g prop­er­ties, anti-shear qual­ity and ex­cep­tional re­sis­tance to high tem­per­a­tures.

The event was wit­nessed by the Mo­tul in­ter­na­tional team lead­ers.
