Con­fed Cup: Rangers lose sec­ond group game

Enugu Rangers, lost their sec­ond group game in the CAF Con­fed­er­a­tions Cup away to Al Mas­ryon Sun­day. The Egyp­tian side de­feated Rangers 4-2. Al Masry went ahead in the fifth minute through Nige­rian for­ward Austin Amutu, who was set up by Muf­tah Tak­tak. Ahmed Yasser dou­bled the home side’s lead in the 27th minute, be­fore Tak­tak made it 3-0 three min­utes af­ter the break. Has­san Ali put the game be­yond doubt, mak­ing it 4-0 in the 83rd minute. Ef­forts by Rangers to fight back with two late goals in the 86th and 90th min­utes through Eziek­wechi­nonso and Saidousim­pore’s own goal re­spec­tively were not enough, as the game ended 4-2.
