Telecoms firm, Globacom, has sent felicitations to British boxer of Nigerian descent, Anthony Joshua, on his victory, on Saturday night against Mexican Andy Ruiz in Saudi Arabia.

Joshua lost four world heavyweight titles: IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO to the less famous challenger Ruiz in New York, in June.

However, Joshua won the rematch via a unanimous decision after the 12-round bout.

Globacom described the rematch as “tough and tight” and commended Joshua for his hard work, concentration and never-say-die spirit.

The telecoms operator stated, “Your victory in Diriya is a testament to your outstanding boxing prowess and determination to excel. You gave a good account of yourself and we are very proud of you.”

Globacom said Joshua’s victory was a reminder of a globally acclaimed TVC where the boxing icon outlined the characteristics he shares with Globacom, including, “the never-say-die, unlimited and can-do spirit.”
