Uncompleted Ijebu-ode roads

The Punch - - EDITORIAL -

Sheriffdeen Tella, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-iwoye, Ogun State: There is no completed road in Ijebu-ode and we were informed that all the roads under construction when then Governor Ibikunle Amosun was leaving office have been fully paid for but delay in completion was due to rain.

Now that rain has gone, the construction has not commenced. Even the portion so constructed is being patched with cement! What manner of construction is that? Why should anyone pay fully for work in progress?

The present government of Dapo Abiodun must insist on full completion of the roads because now that the roads are being patched by government works agency could imply complicity. We are really suffering in Ijebuode as there is no positive dividend of democracy on ground. Our silence should not be taken for docility and stupidity, please.
