Ex-rep hails Buhari

The Punch - - NEWS - Sola Shittu, Benin

Aformer Deputy Chief Whip of the Federal house of Representatives, Mr Pally Iriase, on Monday said the Federal Government’s Social Investment Programme had brought governance closer to the people.

Iriase, who represented Owan Federal Constituency, stated this at Otuo at the commencement of a skill acquisition training programme for 300 women and youths in the constituency.

He claimed that before the regime of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), Nigerians knew almost nothing about social investment programme, and hailed the President for introducing dynamism into what “the SIP is all about.”

he said, “What is happening today is the realisation of my dream to have our people trained in skill that will make them self-sufficient, that will help them to become entrepreneurs and alleviate poverty from the Owan Federal Constituency that I represented until recently.
