500 benefit from medical outreach in Osun
No fewer than 500 elderly people in the Ede/ Egbedore/ejigbo Federal Constituency of osun State have benefited from a medical outreach organised by the lawmaker representing the area in the Federal house of Representatives, Mr Bamidele Salam.
Salam, who is the vicechairman, house Committee on Pension, said he had initially planned to attend to the health needs of about 350 elderly citizens from the area during the programme.
Adding that over 500 people turned out for the event, he put the cost of drugs and payment for the personnel that would attend to the patients at over N12 million.
Salam said he planned to make the medical outreach a quarterly programme that would move across the four local government areas in the federal constituency.
he said, “Initially we planned to reach 350 people, but as I am seeing now, the number of beneficiaries cannot be less than 500 people. At the last count, we have spent over N12 million on the programme.”
