THE Speaker, Gombe State House of Assembly, Abubakar Ibrahim, has enjoined the people of the state to uphold the traditional spirit of ingenuity, resilience, humility and peaceful coexistence this year.

According to a press statement signed by the Information Officer, Gombe State House of Assembly, Abubakar Umar, the speaker said though the 2019 journey was tortuous and full of challenges, the resilience exhibited by the people and the support and cooperation given to Governor Inuwa Yahaya in surmounting most of the daunting challenges was commendable and need to be maintained this year.

He commended the state governor for creating an enabling environment for cooperation and mutual respect between the Executive and the Legislature, which, he claimed, had resulted in the timely passage of the 2020 budget and other legislations needed for the development of the state.

Ibrahim conveyed the appreciation of the lawmakers to the people of the state for not only given them the mandate to represent them in the state legislature but also for giving them the required support and cooperation.
