New Galatasaray signing Jesse to earn €1.1m
Turkish club, Galatasaray, have completed the signing of nigerian winger jesse Sekidika from Eskisehirspor, as revealed by the official website of the Turkish Super Lig champions on Thursday.
The former youth player of A. D. Oeiras, who joined the Portuguese club in 2014, had trials with Stoke City and Manchester City.
However, due to the stringent requirement of a British work permit and not having a European Passport, Jesse could not be offered a contract at both English clubs.
The Port Harcourt-born star will earn €125,000 and he’s also entitled to €250 in the four seasons starting from 2020/21.
“I came to a very big club. I am very happy. I will use this great opportunity. Galatasaray was a place I always wanted,” the exflying Eagles invitee enthused.
Galatasaray president Mustafa Cengiz added, “jesse is a footballer who is in line with our strategic and rejuvenated policy.
“We believe that he will always take part in the struggle to carry the flag of Galatasaray to the top in the honest race as a soldier and a team player.”
jesse has played in the Portuguese and Serbian leagues in his career respectively.
