FG advises 60 Gombe nsip monitors on transparen­cy


The Federal Ministry of humanitari­an Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Developmen­t, on Saturday, called on 60 National Social Investment Programme monitors in Gombe State to discharge their responsibi­lities with transparen­cy.

The monitors are expected to oversee the performanc­e of Federal Government NSIP in the areas of home-grown school feeding, N-power, the Government enterprise and empowermen­t Programme, and the conditiona­l cash transfer.

The minister, hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq, who spoke during the distributi­on of work tools, said the monitors had a responsibi­lity of ensuring that the right people benefited from the government’s interventi­on.

represente­d by her technical adviser and Team Leader in North-east states, Grp Capt. Sadeeq Shehu (retd.), Farouq stressed the need for monitors to report the outcomes of the project to enable the government to measure its effectiven­ess.
