Afriglobal to drive insurance growth with tech

THE Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer, Afriglobal Insurance Brokers Limited, Casmir Azubuike, has said the company is committed to driving insurance growth through technology.

Azubuike spoke during the launch of Africover247 Digital Platform in Lagos on Friday

He said Afriglobal made a breakthrough with Africover247, which he said offered value-added services and was fit for the insurance customers in Nigeria and the global market.

He said it would make insurance accessible to clients with ease, in line with the new normal occasioned by COVID-19 pandemic.

Azubuike said, “Afriglobal presents a unique opportunity to differentiate itself from competitors, with a connected platform that allows the company to understand the customers and their needs.

“The launch of Africover247 signifies a new milestone relationship with the insurance community globally.”

He said the platform would assist individuals and businesses, particularly technology-savvy clients to access insurance products from the comfort of their rooms, anywhere in the world.

The Executive Secretary, Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers, Tope Daramola, said technology was relevant to growth the sector.

He commended Afriglobal for the initiative, and urged it to ensure that all loopholes were covered to ensure smooth running and operation of the platform, while observing the necessary guidelines as provided by the regulator.

“You cannot operate efficiently in a financial services ecosystem where underwriters and most of the clients you are going to deal with have all embraced technology, so what Afriglobal has done today is a major breakthrough in its transformation project,” he said.
