NCF appoints business development specialist
The Nigerian Conservation Foundation, a foremost environmental NGO dedicated to nature conservation and biodiversity resources management, has announced the appointment of an expert to lead its business development and communications team.
This was disclosed in a statement on issued by the Director General of the NCF, Dr Muhtari Aminu-kano.
The newly appointed business development expert, Mr Uchenna Achunine, was a former executive director at the Centre for Memories in enugu where he focused on documenting and promoting Igbo memories, culture, history and excellence.
he was also a former executive Secretary of The Bridge Leadership Foundation, based in Calabar, where he successfully developed and led a five-year repositioning and growth strategy of the NGO within the broad context of local, national and international landscapes.
Aminu-kano praised Achunine for being resilient,
innovative and an advocate for the application of best practice in corporate social responsibility and community development engagement with special interest and skills in negotiation, community engagement and advocacy.
The DG expressed optimism that the appointment would impact the foundation positively and bring a great turn around in NCF’S stakeholders’ engagement, develop new opportunities, and build and expand the presence of the organisation locally and globally.
