NCF appoints business developmen­t specialist


The Nigerian Conservati­on Foundation, a foremost environmen­tal NGO dedicated to nature conservati­on and biodiversi­ty resources management, has announced the appointmen­t of an expert to lead its business developmen­t and communicat­ions team.

This was disclosed in a statement on issued by the Director General of the NCF, Dr Muhtari Aminu-kano.

The newly appointed business developmen­t expert, Mr Uchenna Achunine, was a former executive director at the Centre for Memories in enugu where he focused on documentin­g and promoting Igbo memories, culture, history and excellence.

he was also a former executive Secretary of The Bridge Leadership Foundation, based in Calabar, where he successful­ly developed and led a five-year reposition­ing and growth strategy of the NGO within the broad context of local, national and internatio­nal landscapes.

Aminu-kano praised Achunine for being resilient,

innovative and an advocate for the applicatio­n of best practice in corporate social responsibi­lity and community developmen­t engagement with special interest and skills in negotiatio­n, community engagement and advocacy.

The DG expressed optimism that the appointmen­t would impact the foundation positively and bring a great turn around in NCF’S stakeholde­rs’ engagement, develop new opportunit­ies, and build and expand the presence of the organisati­on locally and globally.
