10 THINGS TO DO FOR CHRISTMAS

- BY ADEGBOYE OLUWASEYI

1. Set A Budget And Stick To It

. The amount of people who go over their budget at Christmas is astonishing. If you haven’t saved up in advance for Christmas spending don’t panic, just sort out a reasonable budget. Buy according to what you can afford. Just remember the famous old phrase‘It’s the thought that counts’.

2.DECO RATE YOU RHOUSE

This really does help carry the festive mood. Just make sure that you use a ladder and get someone to help you when you are doing the decorating.

3. Cook An Entire Christmas Dinner

. The only problem with this is that if it is your first time, you need to take a little time to get acquainted with the rules of cooking a Christmas dinner. If you are nervous, then pick up a cook book.

5.GoTo Midnight Mas

Getting together to sing, pray and thank God for His mercies is very uplifting. Celebrating the birth of Jesus is a good reason to start your day by glorifying His presence with others who feel the same way.

7. Make And Drink Homemade PUNCH

Mixing Punch drinks is a tradition that has been around for centuries and it will more than likely stay with us, going in and out of favour every couple of years,

but still holding on.

4.GiveOUT Unwanted Toys

Instead of throwing out all of those toys that probably cost a lot of money some time ago, you could make a child’s day and let them have toys instead. You’d be surprised at how little can mean so much

6. Buy A Present To Give To A Children’s Charity

You can buy a couple of things for charity and offer gifts. Or better still, organize an auction of goods with your friends and give the proceeds to charity. This is the season for giving and a few nice presents for these charities will put a smile on many faces.

8 .Give Your Unwanted Clothes To A Homeless Shelter

. Just think of those that are less fortunate than you are. Trust me do this, and you will not only feel great about yourself, you will be really helping people and that’s what Christmas is supposed to be about isn’t it!

9. Kiss Someone Underneath The Mistletoe

This obviously has to be mutually rewarding for both parties. A good opportunity to surprise your loved one with a smouldering kiss!

10. CELEBRATE FRIENDSHIP

It’s not very often you make time out to celebrate with your loved ones or good friends. This is the right moment to take them out for a nice dinner. Seize the moment to recall memories especially the funniest ones!
